Earlier this year Meizu announced Flyme OS for Tablets. Today we have first device that is using this OS. JDTab is cheap device priced at 1,499 Yuan with 2K display.
New tablet is a device prepared specially for JD.com shop and it’s preorder starts today. It’s said that JDTab was created in cooperation of Meizu, JD, Foxconn, Harman and Letv and uses special version of Flyme OS and Harman Kardon speakers.
It’s body is made full of metal, made with CNC technology. Display have 7.85 inch screen with 2K resolution (2048 x 1536 px, 326 ppi). JDTab is powered with Quad Core 2GHz processor with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal memory for user’s files.

For people who love making selfies JD prepared dual camera with 5MP and one 8MP rear camera. All is powered with 6200 mAh battery and is running Flyme OS for Tabs.
What is more, the device has preinstalled Letv video which give you one year Letv VIP service for a year. Also there is JD reading that gives 1000 free books for reading during 3 months period.
The presale of JDTab starts today on JD.com and the tablet cost is 1,499 Yuan (about $215). There are 2 colors available – gold and silver.
is Flyme OS based on Android OS ?
Depends on device. It’s based on Android or YunOS (Chinese Android clone made by Alibaba)
I thought YunOS only uses APK but that’s it.. YunOS is more of a iOS clone.
It’s all still based on AOSP.
