Xiaomi won’t make an appearance in MWC 2017

It seems that Hugo Barra’s resignation has left its mark on Xiaomi, in more ways that one could anticipate.

According to official information from China, the company won’t be attending this year’s Mobile World Congress but for an important reason. If you remember the company usually announces its flagship for the year at the event, so if the they won’t be there this year, this means that there will be no Xiaomi Mi 6 announcement there as well.

And the only plausible cause might be the supply issues plaguing the Snapdragon 835 processor, that have affected other companies as well like HTC and LG.

Another reason for Xiaomi’s absence could be its CEO’s decision to take things a bit slow this year, since the Chinese company grew really fast in a very short period of time and some adjustments are needed to be made.

To be honest the Snapdragon 835 is shaping up to be a shambles. Looking like there will be no supply at launch for any manufacturer apart from samsung and if the early benchmarks are to be believed not a huge improvement performance wise over the SD821 and still wont be able to match apple a10/a10X in performance.

They are behaving utterly Directionless. The marketing seems to be huge setback from last year as in peruse of profit they lunched plethora of devices each over shadowing other and confusing the customer base. Xiaomi now has made several segments in its customer base that its confused what to do and when to do. MI3, MI4 MI5 supposed to be the flagship bearers but they diluted the image with MI5s and MI5s Plus. Again MI4s an excellent device received no attention. I am slowly loosing trust on them as they gradually dropping premium components like camera optimization, Audio chip QHD display yet increasing Price day by day
