In case you missed it, Samsung’s Galaxy C5 Pro was one of three Korean smartphones (the other two were Galaxy C7 Pro and Galaxy C9 Pro) that belong to the same “family”, and the only one that was supposed to launch in the Chinese market only. Still until today we have no news about this device, while the other two are already available in markets other than China.

The Galaxy C5 Pro was spotted back in December at Wi-Fi Alliance with model number SM-C5010, a variant specifically designed for the Chinese market, but today, the same device was granted WiFi certification under a new code-name: SM-C501X, which probably means that it will be soon available to other countries as well, not just China.
As we have previously informed you, the Galaxy C5 Pro is a mid-range smartphone that uses a Snapdragon 625 SoC along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage. It packs a 5.5 inch Super AMOLED display with full HD (1080p) resolution, a 16MPixels main camera and another 16MPixels selfie camera just above its display.
If you’re interested about it, then (I guess) you’ll just have to wait a few more days until its official unveiling.
Didn’t know the C7 and C9 pro were already available to markets outside of China. Anyone know where they are being sold to and what countries? Hopefully using that 625 processor will keep the price down. Don’t know how they call it ‘Pro’ though with that processor in it..
I think they’re referring to the fact that the C9 SM-C9000 is available in some other Asian countries besides China.
I happen to be waiting for C9 SM-C900F to become available (Wanna buy it for The Wife; We’re in the Netherlands). But nothing yet. Only place I can find it being mentioned is on the Flipkart website, where it’s available for pre-order: It says it’ll be released on Feb 19th:
