Ever since 2016 came to a close, Chinese phone maker Elephone has been teasing a new device with large display and dual rear cameras. That phone is now official and it’s called the Elephone C1 Max.
Elephone have gone for a max size screen, but have also been careful not to over do the hardware so that pricing doesn’t get pushed sky high. So although the panel is a large one, it only has a HD resolution of 1280 x 720.
Another cost saving measure is the choice of processor. Elephone has opted for the quad-core MT6738 from Mediatek.

Still, despite the low-cost nature of some of the parts, Elephone has tried to make the Elephone C1 Max a functional phone. Up front is a fingerprint scanner to keep the handset secure, while the rear features dual cameras.
The Elephone C1 Max dual cameras are set up with a main 13 mega-pixel shooter and secondary 5 mega-pixel sensor. The second sensor should help the phone take photos with more depth and make an effective Bokeh effect.
We still don’t know how much memory the Elephone C1 Max has, or the battery size or even the price of the phone, but we do have these photos of the handset alongside an iPhone 7 Plus for scale. Is this an Elephone you would like to own?
