It’s no secret that Nubia intends to launch a new flagship phone tomorrow, and now it is no secret what that dual camera handset is going to look like.
Thanks to TENAA, the latest Nubia Z17 and Nubia Z17 Mini have been uncovered just a day before launch. Just as rumours, and Nubia’s own teaser told us, the Nubia Z17 flagship model will feature dual cameras, while the more affordable Z17 Mini will retain a single camera design.
Nubia Z17 Specifications
What’s instantly noticeable is the design of the Nubia Z17 and how the rear of the phone closely resembles the rear of the iPhone 7Plus.
The gold, metal bodied phone, comes equipped with dual rear cameras in the top left hand side of the handset with the addition of dual LED flash too. The body of the Z17 measures in at 154.57 x 76.02 x 7.3mm and a weight of 170g.
Gizchina News of the week
Specifications for the Nubia Z17 include a 5.5-inch 1920 x 1080 display, 2.0Ghz octacore processor (likely a Snapdragon 653), 4GB RAM, 64GB memory and a decent 3560mAh battery. Oddly the Nubia Z17 is still running an OS based on Android 6.0.1.
Nubia Z17 Mini
Tenaa has also revealed the details of the Nubia Z17 Mini today too. While we are calling the phone the ‘mini’ we’re not entirely sure if this will be the correct launch name. Perhaps Nubia Z17 Lite is more likely?
Specs for the more affordable Nubia phone include a single main camera, 5.5-inch 720HD display, 2900mAh battery and a body that measures 155.7 x 76.7 x 7.68mm. Again this handset has Android 6.0 as standard.
Later this week both of these phones will be officially launched and we hope to get hold of one for review. Keep posted to GizChina for more Nubia Z17 news!
I wonder what the black color looks like. I’ll gladly welcome a Z17 mini with a flagship caliber sensor like the IMX362, IMX260 or IMX378. Not entirely a fan of Nubia’s camera software algorithm in resolving image details but the camera app itself is just jam-packed with features that I wish I had in my Meizu MX5.
