Sony just launched a new budget smartphone to add to their lineup, it’s the Sony Xperia L1. An handset with low-tier hardware and some premium features; let’s check it out.
The Sony Xperia L1 comes in with a 5.5-inch HD (1280 x 720px) display surrounded by what appear to be very slim side bezels. The phone is powered by a MediaTek MT6737T chipset clocked at 1.4Ghz, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (expandable through microSD).

Sony’s Xperia L1 features a 13MP rear camera with F/2.2 aperture, meanwhile the front-facing shooter has a resolution of 5MP. The handset sports LTE 4G connectivity, A-GPS (GPS + GLONASS), NFC, dual SIM and an USB Type-C port.
The Xperia L1 packs a below average 2620mAh with Qnovo Adaptive Charging and runs Android Nougat out of the box. It will be available in three colors: Black, White and Pink.
With dual SIM and a slightly larger battery it would be more than sufficient for 85% of the regular users out there. Depending also on how attractive it wouldâ be priced…
