It seems that HTC is going to release their “sapphire” edition of the HTC U Ultra model to more countries in the world, after the official launch of the device last month in Taiwan.
Gizchina News of the week
This “sapphire” variant boasts a sapphire screen with a Mohs hardness of 9, meaning it can withstand scratches better than any other type of glass display in the market, providing extraordinary durability, that… has to paid obviously, around 849€! The special “sapphire” variant of the HTC U Ultra comes with 128GB of storage inside, and is more expensive than the Gorilla Glass 5-only version of the HTC U Ultra that costs 699€.
This new variant of the U Ultra smartphone will be available for purchase in Germany and Switzerland on April 18, but if you’re interested you can now pro-order it in these two countries. It’s possible that after this release, the U Ultra “sapphire” will soon be available in other countries as well.
I think Le Max 2 is better alternative than HTC u ultra. It is cheaper and has nearly the same specifications minus microsd card slot and secondary screen. I am waiting for Le MAX3 which will also have SD 821 and bigger battery.
I really Don’t think the U is going to have any kind of decent sales. It’s a lot of money for what’s being offered! Good luck!
HTC u ultra saw 100 dollar price decrease to 650 but I think it is a flop even if they sell it around 400 dollars. The screen is huge and battery is small. I dont know how can someone survive on that phone.
