Micromax, once a behemoth in the lucrative Indian smartphone market, is now being seen wanting to space.
The recent launch in the Dual 5 doesn’t seem to have done too much, and the brand is now looking to go back to it’s roots — with a bit of a twist — to get back a share of the pie.
For that, Micromax have partnered with one of India’s biggest online retailers — Flipkart. It’s to be noted that the partership goes beyond just a retail one, and Flipkart will reportedly provide intelligence and analytics to help Micromax build a trust and get a hold on the market.

Micromax is also planning to come up with a couple new budget phones in the budget segment, where the brand saw the most traction in its heyday. The Evok Note and the Evok Power are two devices that the Indian vendor plans to launch in the 6,000-12,000 INR range in the coming months.
With a host of Chinese makers offering a slew of budget options, do you think Micromax will be able to find itself the niche it used to rule over at one time?
Micromax is hopelessly lost. When going was good, they looted Indian public by rebranding cheapest Shenzhen phones and unloading to hapless Indian public. Never invested in R&D nor any innovation. Now the water is above their head. Indians don’t trust this brand.
they need to have a good designing team and should work on with Lineage OS. (previously Cyanogen)
