We have already seen Elephone’s concept phone here at GizChina, but we were always left wondering there the front-facing camera was actually placed. Well, it looks like today we have an answer!

Elephone’s concept phone (then becoming real, hopefully) will be featuring a front camera that will automatically pop up from the back. Thus somewhat solving the issue on the Mi MIX where you could be holding the phone in a way that would cover the front-facing camera.

Elephone say they’ve been working on this concept phone for quite some time and this is the best solution they could come with. The phone will sports a stunning tri-bezel-less display with a 18:9 aspect ratio (like the LG G6 and similar to the 18.5:9 on the Samsung S8 / S8 Plus), all of that encased in a beautifully crafted metal body.

..When it comes to the real phones they produce and sell….
It’s down to earth and nothing as beautiful as the concept.
Plain simple, budget, buggy mainstream device….
Elephone, they promise the sky is the limit….so they sell you a bag of air

This is best for foldable displays where you have no room for the back cam either. For this kind of phone, a flip cam like the one Huawei had at some point is less elegant but easier and cheaper.
As for the phone itself, it’s a bit too blunt , the corners need to be rounded a bit.
