According to a report fromĀ Aju Business Daily, Qualcomm and Samsung are already in talks in order to boost R&D of the next-gen Snapdragon 845 SoC, that will be used on the Galaxy S9 flagship.
It may seem too early to you but this is standard procedure for most companies (especially multi-billion dollar ones); to prepare for the next year after their flagship model is unveiled. Samsung is using the Snapdragon 835 SoC for its Galaxy S8 model, one that is based on the 10nm process, but rumors say that the Korean company plans to use their next-gen 10nm chips in the upcoming Snapdragon 845 SoC. This new procedure promisesĀ a 15% power reduction and a 10% increase in performance, something that can surely put a smile on the face of all Samsung officials.

However Samsung is not alone in this. TSMC is also said to be building Apple’s A11 chipsets based on the 10nm process and they will all be used on the iPhone 8 model scheduled to be unveiled in the coming months. Qualcomm hasn’t decided yet if they will cooperate with Samsung or TSMC, but we will sure find out their decisions in the coming weeks.

Which is why they are dominating every market segment from mid-2016 onward – low end, mid-end, mid-high end, and the high-end.
Because they are overrated, and mobile manufacturers are a bunch of fools (Samsung included).

Every top end exynos chip that has been released has always been proven to perform better than their top end snapdragon counter parts.
