As some of you may know, Huawei has been bashed for the lack of an oleophobic coating on their latest flagship Huawei P10. Huawei then announced that it was because of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and that they weren’t able to add it due to technical reasons.
Well, it appears as the Chinese phone maker DOOGEE succeeded in such job, at least according to them, to prove it they released a photo of a drop of water on top of their upcoming DOOGEE MIX. You can see it down below.
Dropping water on smartphones is the easiest way to check for an oleophobic coating. We can see in the picture that the water drop didn’t splash but just stayed there. This is on top of a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 coating that covers the phone’s display.
Gizchina News of the week
If you were wondering, the DOOGEE MIX is the company’s attempt at creating a tri-bezel-less phone — no need to say where they took their inspiration from — with a 5.5-inch AMOLED display in the size of an iPhone 7 (4.7″). As far as specs goes, the MIX will be equipped with either a MediaTek Helio P25 or Helio X30 CPU, 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of internal storage.
The DOOGEE MIX will feature two cameras on the back, 16MP primary and 8MP secondary with PDAF and a 5.0MP front camera.
That’s everything we know as of now, we’ll keep you updated about this interesting phone as more info are revealed! Let us know what you think about the phone in the comments below!
Ok.. Doge, I mean Doogee is geting better on that terminal…
Only if the put the Helio X30 on there… They would suceed even more.
I have a Huawei P10 Plus DS.
Today I received a ‘nano high-tech’ ‘screen quard 9H hardness’, a liquid based screenprotecting solution. I’ll apply it tomorrow, should do the trick.
I’m looking forward to this one
Waiting for the launch and true reviews. Is definitely on my list.
If this is true this is greart

I bought Y6 max and Y6 Piano. Both phones had many many problems. In y6 max the USB port broke after a month of use, gps is not working the finger sensor is working 50% of the time and the cameras super bad even in day time. In y6 piano with 4gb of ram and 64gb storage the half top screen is not working from the beginning. The software part just to premature.
Please do not compare Huawei products with dogee is like comparing gold with charcoal.
As Huawei are the most honest brand… USF2.1 flash turned out it could be eMMC 5.1, advertising their dual “Leica” camera with a photo taken with Canon 5D Mark III and a $2,100 lens, c’mon!
“at least according to them”
After years of lying, we suddenly are supposed to believe Doogee? More likely it is Gorilla Glass 3 if anything.

If this is true this is great

I’m considering buying this phone as a spare, only for the looks if they manage to make it truly bezel-less (besides this is the main selling point of the phone).
The borders around the screen are quite thick at the engineering model displayed at the hands on video.
It`s not a good news, I like rugged smartphone, the gorilla glass 3, like BV6000.

I think the drop of water only means that it is hydrophobic…
They should have put a drop of oil instead!
But really nice phone from DOOGEE!

I guess that if, and a big IF at that, if they do finally use the X30 and some 6gbram or at least they have that option Doogee will have a chance of getting known more wide spread… And if ,IF, if the quality is any good them they could become a mainstream company or at least the phone could be a 1hitWonder
