MGCOOL has used recent smartphone design to influence the company’s newest action camera.
Details are thin on the ground but from this teaser image, we can clearly see that the new action camera will be called the Explorer Max, and will feature a narrow bezel design.
Af first glimpse we thought the image might show yet another Android smartphone that uses a design not dissimilar from the hugely popular Xiaomi Mi Mix, but the text beneath certainly clears any confusion up.

The name Max also implies that this Explorer Max action camera might have a larger physical size than current Chinese cameras which all size up to be very similar to the original GoPro.
As far as confirmed details go that’s it for now, but we speculate that the MGCOOL Explorer Max will feature a waterproof design similar to the GoPro Hero 5 and won’t necessarily need a protective case to be used. We also expect high-end optical image stabilisation and real 4K video recording.
