It’s all about OnePlus 5 these days guys, we admit it. But what can we do when news, rumors and info keep popping out of everywhere?
The latest leaked image of the purported device comes (once again) from Weibo) and basically confirms most of the rumors/info we had regarding the upcoming model. For starters it shows that the device will have a vertical dual camera setup on its back, a design that looks like something the Chinese company would use for sure.
The upcoming flagship killer is also going to be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, an overkill 8 GB of RAM and an impressive 4,000 mAh battery. Here’s the image of the purported phone by the way:

As always it’s a leaked image and hasn’t been confirmed, so we all take it with a pinch of salt, however it seems legit for numerous reasons. Firstly the dual camera setup wouldn’t be a surprise, after all most flagship models nowadays use dual camera technology. Moreover the choice for 8GB of RAM is indeed an overkill, however OnePlus is no stranger to such numbers in terms of RAM, after all the OnePlus 3T came with 6GB of it! Last but not least, the choice for a large 4000 mAh battery is surely something OnePlus designers would make; after all the Chinese company is known for taking customer wishes into account, and a lot of OnePlus owners would surely like more “juice” for their smartphones.

Innovative, Samsung ???? O_O They just reduced the bezels a bit after years of the whole smartphone industry talking about it. Well, sure, compared to all the Iphone 6 clones out there it might seem original, maybe. Just not worth spending 600 additional bucks IMHO vs waiting 6 months for every chinese manufacturer to copy the next truly bezel-less Iphone.

Nope, I don’t think I ever wrote that. What I did mean however, is that smaller bezels is neither innovative (sharp did that long ago, xiaomi did that then, now everyone started doing it with Samsung and LG being the most famous), nor is it impossible to expect such a design on a device the price of a Oneplus.
That’s why i just bought S7 edge new for 450E so the same price :p

I… actually like the… design… Am I brainfucked? I dislike smudge-trap designs, I dislike glass body that will break at the first drop, I dislike shiny bitchy effect proposed by HTC, Xiaomi, etc. on their latest products. I like solid and sustainable tools, I like my planet, I like to have recyclable elements, I like good quality plastic more and glass, I like metal over glass, I like plastic over metal. I like this phone and this design. I like One+. I like xiaomi when they don’t try to switch the attention, talking during 15 minutes about how shiny is the back of their new phone.. probably to hide the fact that the Mi6 didn’t improve much from the 5S (I know it did improve a bit, just I think it’s not enough… and too shiny).
