Bezel-free devices are the current trend running amok among the smartphone makers and the edge-to-edge displays are certainly striking and beautiful. Having a bigger screen stuffed into smaller body is something we all like. On the other hand it’s not making the phones more durable, because the design is prone to some fragility. That shouldn’t be an issue with the upcoming Bluboo S1, because it’s allegedly getting the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
Gizchina News of the week
Gorilla Glass 5 is the latest generation of the display glass tech by Corning and should be able to withstand  face-down drops from up to 1.6 meters in about 80 % of occurences. That’s way higher than the previous generation and Gorilla Glass 5 also provides superior scratch resistance on the top too. With such protection the big bezel-free display of Bluboo S1 will be quite covered and safe.
As for the actual phone, so far we know that Bluboo S1 will be powered by Helio P25 chipset along with 4 GB / 6 GB RAM and 64 GB / 128 GB of expandable storage. It will also have dual cameras on the rear (16MP + 3MP combo) and a fingerprint scanner up front. Bluboo S1 is supposed to hit the market in June for roughly about $150 so will be an interesting competitor for the cheap Xiaomi Mi Mix alternative.
looool, thats a chimpanzee in that pic :DDD
Nicely spotted đ
It’s from the movie planet of the apes, lol.
This is what all the bezeless smartphone being released will look like, notice the strip at the top housing the speaker. I hate how elephone and doogee advertise their phones being tri-bezeless when in fact it won’t be.
