I guess we all knew this would happen, didn’t we? The Xiaomi Mi 6 Ceramic Edition was available today at 10 AM in China and a couple of seconds later it completely sold out as expected.
Gizchina News of the week
The device went on sale exclusively on Xiaomi Mall with a pricing of 2,999 Yuan ($435) and just like the standard edition, this model also sold out quickly in under one minute. Now the Xiaomi Mi 6 Ceramic Edition is listed as “Out of Stock” on the official Xiaomi website but no one can be sure when (and if) we’re going to see it available again in the future. If Xiaomi is not facing any production problems, then the Ceramic variant may become available on sale soon.
Don’t forget that this specific ceramic edition needs a special manufacturing procedure but it also has 18K gold rims around the rear-facing twin cameras so… it takes time to be manufactured.
Hey Xiaomi, I am qualified Demand Planner currently employed in Shanghai but looking for new opportunities and willing to relocate to Beijing. Would you be interested in creating such department because you are clearly lacking in this area…Just kidding, you just SUCK! Don’t you get it, you are making everyone tired of this shortage strategy. Stop announcing product you are not even capable to produce!
