Wearable favourites No.1 have announced details of the G9, a wearable that they say is the first with new MTK2503 chipset and GPS
No.1 were once a smartphone maker but for the past few years, the manufacturer has focussed on producing wearables. The latest from the company is the No.1 G9, a wearable that boasts IP68 and built in GPS.
This smartwatch comes with all the usual features like a pedometer, fitness tracking, notifications, heart rate monitor etc, but being an IP68 watch the device can also withstand shock, dust and being submerged in water.

GPS tracking is also a very clever feature for the watch which is brought to the wearable with the use of a Mediatek MTK 2503 chipset. This is a smartwatch specific chipset that boasts excellent efficiency which hopefully means users won’t have to recharge their watches on a daily basis.
The GPS feature on the watch is said to offer movement trajectory and can be used to pinpoint your location, and even navigate the wearer to a chosen point.

Other local (Chinese) smartwatch makers have been offering GPS for quite sometime already. They even measure blood pressure although I don’t know if it’s accurate or not. So I don’t know why they are the first to offer this feature.
Yeah, I agree. Many Android watches has built-in GPS antenna, why they claim they are the first one to offer this feature. Oh wait, it is the first MT2503 watch, that’s different, currently there is no mt2503 watch on the market. So I think that’s why they claim they are the first one. ’cause the mt2502 doesn’t support this feature, in some way, this one is the first watch with built-in GPS.
