ZTE Blade V8 Mini pops up on FCC

Back in the month of February, ZTE announced a low cost, dual camera phone, the ZTE Blade V8 Mini. With no solid launch date, the Blade V8 Mini has popped up on the FCC, hinting towards an imminent launch.

The documents from FCC show the complete tear down of the smartphone along with the accessories and even the manual it is speculated to ship with. The ZTE Blade V8 Mini was launched alongside the Blade V8 Lite and the standard Blade V8.

Gizchina News of the week

There is no information as of now regarding the launch date of this smartphone, since ZTE hasn’t dropped any official word on the same. On the spec front, the phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 chipset coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. The phone features a 5 inch 720p display and runs Android Nougat 7.0 out of the box.

The USP of this phone is the presence of the dual camera setup. The rear features a 13MP+2MP sensor, whereas the front features a 5MP sensor. The phone is fueled by a 2,800mAh battery.

The ZTE Blade V8 Mini is expected to sell around $200, which is pretty cheap for a phone featuring a dual camera setup. Whether the setup really does any good or just ends to be a gimmick, only time will tell!
