Ulefone Gemini Pro: First Phone Ever to Record 4K Bokeh Video?

The Ulefone Gemini Pro is the latest flagship launched by the Chinese phone manufacturer, its main selling point is the dual camera setup on the back powered by two Sony IMX258 13MP image sensors. And, as we all know, having two cameras brings the possibility of creating photos with a shallow depth of field, also known as bokeh. What we didn’t know was achievable is produce a video with the same effect. Let’s check it out in their latest video!

In the video we see how the Ulefone employee selects 4K quality recording, after that proceeds to enable the bokeh effect, sets the aperture to F/0.8 and voilà! 4K bokeh videos! Now, we aren’t sure how this actually works but it does look promising.

If you aren’t full aware of Ulefone Gemini Pro’s specs then let’s have a quick summary. Beginning with the two cameras which are both 13MP but one captures normal images while the other one only does monochrome and is also used to capture depth information.

Hardware wise the Gemini Pro is powered by a MediaTek Helio X27 with a MALI-T880 GPU clocked at 875Mhz (more than enough to record 4K videos), 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

The artificial bokeh (blur) effects look really erroneous and terrible!
