LG unveiled earlier today 3 new mid-range models “boasting the essential features of LG premium phones at exceptional price points” – according to the official statement. Meet the LG Q6, Q6+ and Q6α models, that appeared out of nowhere to fill the gap between LG’s budget phones and the notorious LG G6 flagship.
The LG Q6 is the main star of the three, while the Q6+ and the Q6α are a step above and… below the Q6, respectively, but their differences focus mainly in RAM and storage capacities. All Q6 variants are equipped with a 5.5-inch FullVision display with FHD+ resolution (2160x1080px) with the same bezel-less design the LG G6 (more or less). They all pack a Snapdragon 435 CPU inside, along with a 3,000 mAh battery inside each device.

Here are the memory configurations for the Q6 devices:
- LG Q6α – 2GB RAM / 16GB storage
- LG Q6 – 3GB RAM / 32GB storage
- LG Q6+ – 4GB RAM / 64GB storage
All three models offer 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2 compatibility, they’re equipped with a single 13MP camera, along with a 5MP selfie camera on the front. Thankfully they are made of the same 7000 series aluminum process, and they all feature the G6’s facial recognition implementation.
The Q6 and its two variants will be available in “key Asian markets” starting August, but soon after they will hit other areas such as Europe, Latin America and North America.
