BLUBOO Concept Phone to feature 18:9 Aspect Ratio and Tri-bezel-less Display

Bluboo S2

Bluboo is supposedly going all in with both the tri-bezel-less and 18:9 display aspect ratio trends, indeed their latest concept phone will be mix of the two. It’ll be called Bluboo S2 and we can have a first look at it down below!

Bluboo S2

So there it is, what is hopefully the next Bluboo phone to hit the market. Bluboo isn’t totally new to this kind design as they already have two different models on the market. We’re talking about the full-screen Bluboo S1, also known as the tri-bezel-less phone and the Bluboo S8, which is a Samsung S8 inspired device with an 18:9 aspect ratio display (both now available on Bluboo’s AliExpress store).

What’s interesting though, is both their successor, namely called Bluboo S2. The S2 will indeed feature an 18:9 display aspect ratio and no top bezel, the bottom bezel is also super thin, at least in the renders.

The Bluboo S2 is expected to come with a big 6.1-inch display, bringing a screen-to-body ratio of 91.6% and it’ll sport two rear cameras and two front-facing shooters. The first ones will be Sony IMX 298 16.0MP + 8.0MP, while on the front we’ll find a Sony IMX 258 13.0MP + 8.0MP combo.

Bluboo say the Bluboo S2 will come with optical fingerprint identification, the company is also working on a fingerprint scanner built-in into the display, but as you well know that’s much easier said than done.

Blu phones are great for basic use like calls and text. ‘No customer service’. Device drivers are not available to connect to other devices like laptop or computer.

Buyer beware. I see how they keep their costs low and phones cheap. There is no customer service.

Useless if it is not made a world phone. LTE TDD band 40 is must for India but no mention of it. These mobiles only have 1,3, 7, and 20.

under screen ultrasonic fingeprint scanner needs a qualcomm chip.
Not very likely for bluboo, but if they manage to create this phone and besides a snapdragon CPU add some other 2017 trends like NFC, wireless charging etc it would be an intresting choice to compete with the big brands.
