The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is slated for unveiling today along with the Mi Note 3, confirmed by Xiaomi’s Lin Bin last week. Just a day ago, Hugo Barra teased the community with images of the package of the Mi Mix 2. In the latest report, the Mi Mix 2 seems to have leaked in images hours before the official launch. The post on Weibo shows the front of the Mi Mix 2.
The Mi Mix brought along a bezel less display, and the leaked images show a display with much thinner bezels. The pictures that Hugo Barra shared shed some light on the specifications of the Mi Mix 2. The smartphone will be available in a 6GB/256GB variant among others. It’ll have a ceramic coating too, meaning Xiaomi has chosen to drop the use of metal. It is rumoured that the Mix 2 will sport a 6.4 inch display, like its predecessor but a recent report hints towards a 6.2 inch display. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 is expected to power the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2. A 4500mAh battery coupled with a display that has a 93% screen to body ratio seems like a tempting offer.

Another leak reveals a lot about the Mi Note 3. The leak throws light on the specs of the phone. It reveals that the phone is powered by the Snapdragon 660 and has a variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM configuration. The Mi Mix 2 will soon be unveiled in a couple of hours along with the Mi Note 3, so stay tuned for more!
No pop-up front cam so nothing interesting , just a taller 5.5 inch low res display and a large premium for it.
You mean for the Note 3 ? I find it quite disturbing that flagships are now powered by something like the SD 660 which is clearly a mid range SOC while the mid range is powered by the low end SOCs like SD 625 ….
Definitely not paying this much for such things.
No he meant Mix 2 note on the other hand will be much more interesting to common normal folks.
If it has a really low price then yes. Otherwise with a SD 660 no thanks. You can get some really good SD 835 phones at 400 – 500 $.
Speculations are that base 4/64 Mi Note 3 will have starting price of 280$ which (if true) ain’t bad at all. It’s a current bottom I think considering all memory prices/shortage. They need to remain on to those prices as the last year base flagship models with S820 now can be bought for a similar price.
Another site is reporting it will be announced on the 15th.
