Honor 9i launches with 5.9 inch 18:9 display, 4 cameras!

Huawei is working really hard to further improve its presence in various markets all over the world, and today’s launch of the Honor 9i model basically confirms it. The device is available as a Flipkart exclusive in the Indian market and it comes with a price tag of 17,999 INR (around €234) for some days, before returning to its normal pricing of 19,999 INR.

Don’t be confused, the device is the same in specs with the Maimang 6 model that was announced for the Chinese market – and the Honor Nova 2i that Malaysians just met. So you can expect it to come with an 8-core Kirin 659 chipset, along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. As we told you before, the device comes with an 18:9, FullView display with minimal bezels and two cameras placed on top with 13MP+2MP resolution for awesome selfies. On the back we find two more cameras (16MP+2MP), a fingerprint scanner and a LED flash that has been integrated into the antenna band. There’s also a 3340 mAh battery inside, Android 7.0.1 Nougat and Huawei’s EMUI 5.1 on top.

The Maimang 6 and Nova 2i are not a 100% copy though. The Maimang 6 has NFC and the Nova 2i does not. Maybe that’s why the Maimang 6 is more expensive in China than of the Nova 2i in Malaysia. My unit should arrive at my doorstep in 7 days.

It’s odd that they decided to go with a Micro USB though.. My unit should arrive at my doorstep in 7 days.
