Last month Apple revealed the world their newest iPhone X. The device came to mark the ten years since first iPhone, back in 2007.
Being it a special case or not, the X roman letter was already used by other companies before Apple, like Motorola and Apple. And we could see Huawei using the same X on their Mate 10.
According with one of the most accurate leakers out there, Evan Blass from evleaks, if the Chinese company launch their newest flagship as Huawei Mate X, that would not be a surprise. You can ask why, so we got some points that could justify this adoption.
Gizchina News of the week
First of all the “X” roman letter represents ten and Huawei will launch Mate 10 this month, the tenth of the year. Finally, naming it as Mate X would steal some attention from iPhone X, turning comparisons inevitable, and by doing this Huawei surely expect to win.
We still have to wait some days to see if this info will be confirmed, for now we know that Huawei will launch Mate 10 (or Mate X) packing an 6-inch 18:9 display, powered by their newest Kirin 970 AI SoC and with dual Leica powered cameras on the rear. More info should pop out next days so keep tuned to see if we will have a Huawei Mate X in the next days.
