It seems that the Redmi 5 model is almost ready for its official unveiling guys and this recent streak of leaks basically confirms our thoughts, as Xiaomi is preparing to enter the full-screen display trend and make it available to the mid-range market segment using this most awaited model.
According to recent rumors, the Chinese company plans to launch 3 models with full-screen design, mainly Xiaomi Redmi 5, Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus, and Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, the first two of them with an affordable price tag of approximately around or under 1000 yuan ($150) and around 1599 Yuan for the latter. Earlier today another photo of the purported Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 leaked on Weibo (shot on a Mi 6!) and it’s one of the white variant of the model.
Gizchina News of the week
This one is expected to pack a Snapdragon 636 chip paired with a 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM and a dual-camera on the back. The starting price tag should be set at 1599 yuan ($241).
On the other hand, the most awaited Xiaomi Redmi 5 will probably come with a smaller 5,5 inch display, 18:9 aspect ratio, with a resolution of 720p, while the other two models (Redmi 5 Plus/Redmi Note 5) will be packed with 5.99-inch screens providing 2160 × 1080 pixel resolution. The Redmi 5 Plus will come with 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM storage (the Redmi 5 will feature 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM), and Mediatek P25 chipsets according to rumors.
What do you think of the bezels on this white variant of the purported Redmi 5 you see in the image above guys? Perhaps the black version will hide the bezels better?
Contradictory. First all “around or under $150” later you said note 5 will cost about $241. The thin bezels device (Shot on MI6) is supposedly the Redmi Note 5 and note the Redmi 5.
So kind of you to help 🙂 Thanks!
TOO EXPENSIVE! design is money for xiaomi customers. Ha ha ha.

2 different phones in the images. on the left of the speaker there is 1 and the other 2 holes. or did i miss something?
yes, you missed the part where it’s said there will probably be three models launched. So… you can have the 5,5 first and the 5,99 then.
Meh
It looks like an actual black phone inserted inside some cheap, ugly white bumper.

Is there a kind of general mental illness hitting everyone lately? How come can we call those things “full display”? Seriously? I think we can call them “toasters” then, or even “bathtubs”, or “sausages”. Since words don’t make sense anymore and since we don’t care about what we write, it’s fine, I would like you to call them “Xiaomi sausages”, please, if possible.
THANK YOU!!!
WELCOME!!!
