Today, Xiaomi officially announced the Xiaomi Mi 5X Special Edition and this edition is for the lovers of red. As of now, the reservation channel has been opened and both online and offline sale of this smartphone which will commence on the 1st of November. As for the pricing, its price tag remains the same with pre-existing versions. Xiaomi Mi 5X currently goes for 1499 Yuan ($226). From the official poster, the special edition of Xiaomi Mi 5X has a pure red back cover while the front panel has a black colour. Red and black has always been an attractive colour combo. With this special edition announced, we now have 4 colour variants of the Mi 5X which include gold, black, and rose gold options.

As a reminder, Xiaomi Mi 5X is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which is expandable via a MicroSD card. It uses a 5.5-inch IPS LCD screen with Full HD resolution. The most impressive feature of the Xiaomi Mi 5X is the dual camera. It is similar to the Xiaomi Mi 6 setup and the camera can snap pictures blazingly fast, both with the wide-angle lens and the telephoto one. The Mi 5X has a 12MP rear camera supported by a 5MP selfie snapper. This device comes with a rear fingerprint sensor.
