Honor View 10 with 5.99-inch FullView display launched in India at Rs 37,955

Honor View 10

The Honor V10 was officially unveiled at an event in China about a week ago, and just yesterday, the company at an event in the UK announced the same device for the Global audience as the Honor View 10. So the Honor V10 will be selling in markets outside China and the US as the Honor view 10, but they are both the same device with a different moniker.

Today, Huawei’s Honor brand alongside the Honor 7X announced the availability and release date of the Honor View 10 in the India market. The device will be available for sale on both online and offline starting January 8 at an unknown price point.

The Honor view 10 is especially suited for those who feel the Huawei Mate 10 line is way too pricey. The Honor View 10 a.k.a the Honor V10 offers some features basically reserved for the Mate at an affordable price point. The device has a unibody metal design and boasts of extremely all round thin bezels, rounded display corners, a dual rear camera setup and a front-facing fingerprint scanner.

The view 10 has a dedicated AI processor that should enhance better photos, optimize the phone’s system, and improve ease of use. The device further highlights a 3D Facial Animation feature, which works in a similar manner to Apple’s Animoji.

Huawei claims the phone carries a facial recognition feature that is smart enough to know when someone else handles the phone, so it can hide calls and messages.

The device comes with a 6-inch FHD display, an 18:9 aspect ratio and powered by Kirin 970 chipset. There is a fingerprint sensor below the display, a single 13MP camera above the display, while a 16MP and 20MP dual-lens camera sit on the reverse side.

The phone boots the latest Android OS mixed up with EMUI 8.0 out of the box, while the power juice is supplied by a non-removable 3750mAh battery that can be charged up to 50 percent in 30 mins.
