As we found out about a week ago, Vernee are currently working on their upcoming Vernee X, a smartphone that will check many boxes as far as 2017’s design standards go. Well, today we learn a bit more about the smartphone external look as well as some internal specs. Let’s check it out!
The first thing notice from the image above is that the Vernee X will be featuring 2.5D curved glass to cover the entirety of the display and the rest of the body on the front side. What’s probably a more interesting photo is the one below, where we can see how slim the smartphone looks, plus it seems to be featuring a metal back cover with curved edges. That should make the smartphone easier to handle and less of a fingerprint magnet compared to glass-backed devices.
Gizchina News of the week
As far as specs go, the Vernee X is said to be coming with a large 6.0-inch display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and a screen-to-body ratio of 83.8%. The X will also be the first Vernee phone to pack a Mediatek Helio P23 octa-core processor, which compared to the last generation performs 10% better and is 15% more power efficient; the CPU will be able to boost up to 2.5Ghz when needed. Along with the powerful SoC we also get 6GB of RAM and a whopping 128GB of internal storage. The Vernee X will then run the home-baked VOS system based on Android 7.1 to take advantage of the hardware under the hood.
Last but not least, Vernee also revealed that the X will be featuring four cameras. We’ll indeed find a 13MP + 5MP dual front camera combo with an additional soft LED flash and beautify features to take better selfies even at night. Meanwhile on the back we have 16MP + 5MP setup, both featuring a wide f/2.0 aperture and PDAF to bring faster focusing and a better looking bokeh effect.
This is as far as we know as of now. Stay tuned as we hear more from the company and report it back to you. But before they reveal it, how much do you think it’ll cost?
