With about a week left to MWC, more information about Xiaomi’s flagship – Xiaomi Mi 7 is coming to light. As of now, it is not certain if this smartphone will be released at MWC holding in Barcelona, Spain. Nevertheless, the smartphone will be released soon. Fresh reports from XDA developers suggests that the Xiaomi Mi 7 will sport an OLED display panel with a dual camera setup.
We already know that Xiaomi Mi 7 will be powered by flagship Snapdragon 845 chipset and it is not surprising that it is scheduled to run Android Oreo with MIUI 9 (and Project Treble compatibility to boot). However, some firmware files obtained by XDA developers shows that this smartphone will use an OLED display and it will be the first Xiaomi smartphone to support Always On Display feature. According to XDA Developers, the always on display will show “time, date, battery level, and up to 3 notification badges”. The most interesting feature here is the battery level which many Pixel 2 owners are hoping for.

Information from the files also points to the possibility of a dual camera setup although the location of the cameras could not be deciphered without wild assumptions. There are multiple binaries in the vendor partition allow Android to use the dual cameras and this guides to the plausibility of a dual camera setup. The lights of this device will be kept on by a 3,170 mAh battery and it will have features such as IR blaster, Electronic Image Stabilization, Dirac audio technology, aptX HD Bluetooth audio codecs, and NFC support. As of now, there is no confirmation on its wireless charging capacity and it will not have an expandable storage.
Please a screen larger than 5.15″!
6 inch!!
Not confirmed. If they have a plus model, which is rumoured, it might be. The Mi6 was rumoured to get a plus model and never did.
same like mi mix 2 …borderless n full screen …size phone is the same
Please smaller!
No. Premium phone needs a decently large screen.
No. Premium phone needs to pack as much as possible in a most ergonomic form factor (<= 5"). Leave 6"+ to Notes and other phablets.
For me the perfect size really is 5.15, but with a bezzel less screen and 18:9 ratio it woulb be really cool to see a 5.5″ model!!
Like, a 5.5″ in your hands with the size of a 5″ smartphone!
