Oppo R13 and R13 Plus were the expected successors to the R11s and R11s Plus. Apparently, the Chinese manufacturer has renamed it to Oppo R15 since 13 is considered as taboo or inauspicious in many countries. In the latest report, leaked renders of the Oppo R15 have leaked on Weibo.
As speculated before the leaked renders confirm the presence of an iPhone X like notch on the top. To be honest, it looks exactly like the iPhone X from the front. On the back though, the design takes cues from the OnePlus 5/5T with a horizontally aligned dual camera setup rather than a vertically aligned one like the iPhone X. The fingerprint scanner lies on the back of the phone. On the right side of the frame sits the power button whereas on the left sit the power controls.

The renders are showcased in 3 different colours, black, pink and purple although there is no confirmation whether these are the final renders of the Oppo R15. Speculations are rife that the R15 and R15 Plus will launch this year considering their predecessor’s launch last year. Also flying around are rumors that the R15 will be the first smartphone to sport the Snapdragon 670 chipset.
