Huawei P20 and P20 plus leaked render shows off top notch

As we await the arrival of the Galaxy S9 and S9+, Huawei is, on the other hand, busy preparing its flagship Huawei P20 and P20 plus for march unveiling date.

If previous reports are to be taken seriously, the company would be unveiling three members of the P20 smartphones later in March. Ahead of the unveiling date, fresh renders of the Huawei P20 and P20 plus have surfaced online, confirming one or two rumored features.

The render seems to have cemented TENAA’S revelation where the P20 was listed with a full-screen display with the fingerprint scanner/home button sitting on the bottom, while the top notch is very visible housing the front-facing camera.

Based on the renders, the fingerprint sensor on the Huawei P20 plus/pro has been relocated to the rear, with only the Huawei branding visible on the bottom bezel. Unfortunately, the renders didn’t reveal the back side of the phone, so we can not at the moment confirm the fittings there.

Gizchina News of the week

The Huawei P20 series has long been rumored to highlight tri-lens rear camera, and while that speculation still stands as confirmed by the company recently, we are however skeptical as to whether Huawei will give same tri-lens rear camera treatment to the base Huawei P20. Whichever device gets the tri-lens camera, we’re fairly certain Huawei is going big on cameras this year, at least to take on the upcoming Galaxy S9.

As a refresher, the Huawei P20 plus has been rumored to come with a 6.01-inch LCD display with Full HD+ resolution and powered by the Kirin 970 SoC with 6G RAM. The device is expected to come fitted with a triple rear camera setting:  a 12 MP color sensor, a 16 MP black and white sensor, and a 16 MP telephoto lens with f/1.8 aperture.

Huawei has already sent out press invitations for its March 27 event, where the two smartphones will likely make their debut. This, in essence, means we won’t get to see these devices at the MWC, but then Huawei seems to have a couple of products line up for the MWC.
