New images of the alleged iPhone X Plus display and digitizers have surfaced online today. According to current info, the source of the images is an LG Display manufacturing plant in Vietnam. The user who posted the image on MacX forums states that these panels parts come from “trial run of production equipment”.

Just looking at the digitizer and display it obviously seems much bigger than the usual iPhone X. Also, the width of the notch relative to the digitizer also seems more. However, this could be just us. Beneath the digitizer panels are flex cables that will connect it with the logic board. Looking closely at the part number printed on the cable, it has a format similar to what Apple uses in its parts. As some sources point out, the dates printed on the cables hint at a production date in the 46th week of 2017. This isn’t a very newly manufactured assembly part.
Another image shows four such assembled display panels. The size of the panels here are too bigger than usual, it seems. We can see cutouts for the depth-sensing modules as well as earpiece present on the notch.
Currently, Samsung supplies the OLED panels for the iPhone X. But it has been reported that LG will replace its counterpart for the next generation of OLED panels. Also, Apple has invested a lot in getting LG’s OLED manufacturing unit. And this hints towards the authenticity of the images.
As for the larger than usual display, rumblings of an iPhone X Plus with a massive 6.5-inch display have been echoing in the rumour mill.
