Rumors: Nokia 8 Pro Specifications Appear Online

Nokia 8

The revitalization of the Nokia brand by HMD Global continues as the company seems to be unveiling attractive smartphones. Late last month, the company unveiled the Nokia 8 Sirocco at MWC 2018 but this smartphone still uses the “outdated” Snapdragon 835 SoC despite its premium design and dual Zeiss branded cameras. However, Nokia is scheduled to unveil two devices with the state-of-the-art Snapdragon 845 chipset. These smartphones are Nokia 9 and Nokia 8 Pro. While Nokia 9 is expected to be a premium flagship device, Nokia 8 Pro will be a cheaper SD845 device. Now, a recent report has buttressed the fact that the Nokia 8 Pro will come with SD845 and other features of this smartphone were also revealed.

Gizchina News of the week

According to the report, Nokia 8 Pro will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset coupled with 6GB/8GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. It will be equipped with a 6-inch FHD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a display resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixel. In the camera department, Nokia 8 Pro copies the Nokia 8 Sirocco by rocking a similar 16MP dual camera setup and the selfie snapper will be a 13MP snapper. Other features listed by this rumor includes USB type C port doubling as the headphone jack and a 4000 mAh Li-ion battery which is compatible with wireless charging. Nokia 8 Sirocco was attractive because of its clean Android One (Android 8.0 Oreo) out-of-the-box system, however, Nokia 8 Pro is not likely to come with this system.

As of now, there is no official statement or teaser from HMD Global regarding this smartphone so its launch date is still concealed. Please note that this is just a rumor and if there is any truth in it, we will be having a cheaper flagship with better SoC from Nokia.
