Nubia V18 Supporting Voice Commands Announced

Nubia V18

Today Nubia has officially announced a new mid-range smartphone, as scheduled. The Nubia V18 comes with many respectable features and it is going to make a tough competition to the Xiaomi Redmi 5 and other models from the niche. However, the selling point of the V18 is not the full-screen or the Snapdragon chip. Sounds odd, but there is a more interesting feature we should pay attention to.

Generally, the Nubia V18 continues using Nubia’s own aRC design that comes with more rounded edges and corners. Thanks to a great design and stylish look it has a thickness of 6mm only. So the phone is great in terms of ergonomics. That’s why it’s very comfortable to hold and make single-hand operations easily. Though it is made of plastic, thanks to quality material and various production processes it provides great touch feelings when holding in hands. Not in vain, many think it has many common things with the iPhone 7. There are four color options to choose from – meteorites black, space gold, Nebula red, and ivory white.

All these features make us put it into the category of mid-range handsets. Maybe some of them are weaker than expected, but the full-screen design and the presence of a Snapdragon 625 chip put everything in their places.

At last, the Nubia V18 uses a new feature that allows sending voice commands to the phone when holding a separated button. Say, it can be used for searching for contacts or launching an app. Moreover, this feature supports speech-to-text transfer option.
