VIVO X21 UD goes on sale in China, priced at 3598 yuan

The VIVO X21 and VIVO X21 UD – the successor to the X20 series, and vivo’s second smartphone to feature the under-display fingerprint sensor were announced a while back in China. While the regular Vivo X21 was immediately available for sale, the company promised the special Vivo X21 UD would become available from March 28.

The company has today confirmed the availability and price of the VIVO X21 UD in the Chinese market. The device which is available only in 128GB memory configuration and Ruby Red and Black color option is priced at ¥3598 via JD.com.

While the regular vivo X21 houses just the traditional fingerprint sensor at the back, the Vivo X21 UD much like the Vivo X20 plus UD and the recently announced Huawei Mat RS Porsche Design comes with an under display fingerprint sensor.

Other specs and features are largely the same, and that includes;  a 6.28-inch Full HD+ display with notch, 2280 x 1080 pixels screen resolution, an unusual aspect ratio of 19:9 and powered by the Octa-core Snapdragon 660 chipset with a dedicated AI core, Adreno 512 GPU, and 6 GB of RAM.

Inside the iPhone X-esque notch is a 12MP f/2.0 selfie snapper coupled with an IR fill light to allow for fast Face Wake 2.0 with 3D mapping, while a dual camera setup with a12MP f/1.8 and a 5MP f/2.4 sensors along with the fingerprint scanner sit at the back of the device. Full details available.
