Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has today expanded it mid-range series of smartphones with the release of the Honor 7A smartphone. The device has a striking resemblance with the Honor 8 Pro – featuring a full metal body, but, adopts the trendy 18:9 designs with streamlined bezels on the upper and lower chin.
Sitting above the display is an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with support face unlock technology that can scan up to 1024 facial features, beauty mode, soft LED flash that can be adjusted depending on the lighting conditions.
Adorning the back side of the Honor 7A is a vertically aligned dual camera setup that comprises of a 13-megapixel primary sensor coupled with a 2-megapixel secondary sensor which can be used to capture the depth information for portrait shots. A fingerprint scanner also sits below the rear camera setup.

Measuring 152.4 x 73 x 7.8 mm, the Huawei Honor 7A come fitted with a 5.77-inch HD+ 2.5D curved glass display with the 18:9 aspect ratio, but without a notch, and is powered by Snapdragon 430 coupled with 2GB RAM. Honor is also offering the device in 3GB RAM option, but with same 32GB storage as the 2GB RAM option.
The device is powered by a 3000mAh, runs on Google Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box, and comes with a full range of connectivity options including 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, and GPS + GLONASS.
The device is immediately available to order from Huawei Mall, Tmall, and Jingdong but will go on sale from April 3 at 799 yuan/US$ 126 / Rs. 8,250 approx. for the 2GB RAM option, while the 3GB variant goes for 999 yuan/US$ 158 / Rs. 10,315 approx.
