LG G7 ThinQ surfaces in live images, reveals display notch

Following the report earlier in the week about the LG G6 successor arriving as the LG G7 ThinQ, are two real live images showing the display front with boot animation of the alleged LG G7 ThinQ. According to a report on Techradar, the device tipped to be launched later in April or May seems to be currently under the testing phase in the US and might arrive with the model number LG-G710TM.

While a whole lot of the phone’s design has been concealed in a heavy-duty case, it is however evident that the device will feature the display notch that appears to be smaller than the one on the iPhone X, but slightly wider than that of the Huawei P20 and P20 pro.  As per the images, it appears the LG G7 ThinQ will have its power button located on the right side, while the left-hand side will house the volume rocker and a dedicated AI button.

Gizchina News of the week

The LG G7 ThinQ A.I button much like the Bixby key on the Galaxy S8/Note 8/Galaxy S9 will give users quick access to the phone’s AI capabilities including Google Assistant and LG’s own Q Lens and Q Voice.

The LG G7 ThinQ is said to have a dimension of  53.2 × 71.9 × 8.2mm and will come with a 6-inch MLCD display. The device according to sources is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 845 64-bit octa-core SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage. There are also reports that the LG G7 ThinQ will be launched in 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM and 8GB RAM + 256GB ROM options. All variants are expected to come with support for an expandable memory of up to 256 GB via microSD card.

Reports have it that LG will launch the LG G7 ThinQ later in April or at the early part of May, but LG Mobile is yet to comment/ confirm the name change as well as the launch date, so we might just have to wait till we receive confirmation from the Seoul based giant.
