Recently, a well-known Chinese market research firm, Sino, released a report on China’s smartphone shipment for the first quarter of 2018. According to the report, OPPO, vivo, Apple, Huawei, Honor, and Xiaomi are the top six vendors in the first quarter with about 100 million shipments.
For the first quarter of 2018, OPPO ranked first with 18.52 million units shipped and it was closely followed by vivo with 17.34 million units. Apple, Huawei, Honor, and Xiaomi were next with 16.8 million units, 14.42 million units, 14 million units, and 12.37 million units respectively. In addition, Meizu came seventh as the company managed to ship 3.91 million units while Jinli, Samsung, and Xiaohuai completed the top ten ranking with 2.39 million units, 2.14 million units, 1.3 million units respectively.

From sales perspective, the top five sellers are Apple, OPPO, Huawei, vivo, and Honor. From this, we clearly see that Apple’s high unit price advantage is still active. For online sales, Honor, Xiaomi, Apple, Huawei, and Meizu ranked in the top five. Among them, Honor sold 6.29 million units in the first quarter, surpassing Xiaomi to rank first.
