A few hours after announcing the Oppo A83 2018 in India, Oppo today announced a new mid-range smartphone – dubbed the Oppo A3. The major highlights of the device is its full-screen display with a notch that houses the front-facing camera and the speaker.
Much like the Oppo F7 Diamond special edition, the Oppo A3 sports a fancy triangular design under the glass back in four colors – Black, Silver, Pink, and Red. With a dimension of 156×75.3×7.8 mm and a weight of 159 grams, the latest mid-range from Oppo comes equipped with a 6.2-inch display with ultra-thin bezels, a 19:9 aspect ratio and 1080 x 2160 pixel resolution. It will be powered by the MediaTek Helio P60 chipset, the newest mid-range processor from MediaTek, coupled with a Mali-G72 MP3 GPU, 4GB, and 128GB of expandable storage.

The Oppo A3 sports a single 16MP rear shooter supported by an 8MP selfie camera which can intelligently recognize 128 face feature points to unlock the phone within 0.08 seconds. The device has the “AI Beauty Technology.” The technology includes a database of human faces from around the world which captures the details of the user on the basis of the skin tones, gender, age etc. thus giving the best selfies to the user.
The device uses a 3400mAh battery which uses a dual-core artificial intelligence chip to manage your power, allowing you to use more power and enjoy more. It boots Android 8.1 Oreo with Color OS 5 out of the box.
The device is priced at CNY2,099 or about $332/€274.
