If you want an all-screen phone with powerful performance and advanced features that is not too expensive, then the latest Vernee X1 6GB+64GB might be one of the best options around. The phone can indeed be found for just $199.99, which is one of the 7 reasons that make it worth the money, let’s find out what the other six are!
Fashionable all-screen design
The vernee X1 comes with a 6.0” FHD+ 18:9 (2160*1080) display and a screen-to-body ratio of up to 83.8%. No matter reading, watching videos, playing games or online shopping, the elongated display will also give you a wider visual experience.
The 2.5D glass and optimized rounded corners design then make feel and look premium.
Great performance
Compared to the previous vernee X, the vernee X1 has been heavily improved as far as performance and power consumption go. When daily using, the vernee X1 will be faster and smoother, while consuming less energy.
Carrying a Mediatek Helio P23 Octa-core processor, the vernee X can reach a frequency of up to 2.5GHz for additional raw power when needed. LPDDR4X fast RAM support and the Mali-G71-MP2 GPU then increase the phone’s performance when running the homemade VOS system with a boost of 10% and a decrease of power consumption of 15%. The X1 is also provided with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, so no risks of slowdown on this phone (also expandable to 128GB via microSD).
Upgraded cameras
Gizchina News of the week
Vernee X is again four cameras but this time around they’ve been upgraded to 16MP + 5MP image sensors with F/2.0 aperture and PDAF for a fast focusing time of just 0.2 seconds. Meanwhile on the front we find a 13MP + 5MP dual camera setup coming with an upgraded beauty mode 2.0 along with a front light to provide more artistic looking selfies if you so desire.
Big 6200mAh battery
The vernee X1 is equipped with an high density battery cell and 6200mAh capacity which does not only provide a long endurance, but is also safer and better optimized. With the help of VOS power saving mode, the vernee X1 can withstand 4 days of use, and up to 76 days in standby mode. The 9V/2A fast charging technology will then help fully charging the phone in just 150 minutes. What’s more, it has OTG function so you can also charge other devices when needed.
Faster Face ID
The optimized Face ID technology has improved the speed when unlocking the vernee X1. Just one glance and you will unlock the phone. Even in a dark environment, the Face ID unlock can still be used. At the same time, the vernee X1 stills support fingerprint unlock.
VoLTE/ViLTE dual 4G
Thanks to the feature-rich Mediatek Helio P23 octa-core SoC, the vernee does support dual 4G (VoLTE/VILTE). No matter the calling frame or internet speed, it is clearer, faster and more stable.
Cost-effectiveness
Finally, back again to pricing. The vernee X1 in its 6GB+64GB version is still available at just $199.99. If interested, get over to Coolicool or Efox and order one now.
One reason not to buy it is its weight: 198 grams. I realize that the large battery is the cause of the excess weight and thickness but I’d rather have a phone with 4000 mAh weighing max 175 grams, preferably less.
I’m actually torn on this. I really loved the Mi5 for how light it was at just 138 grams back in the day, but I’d never give up a larger battery for less weight, especially since I’ve gotten used to lugging a Blackview BV7000 Pro around.
Another reason to avoid Vernee: Lack of after-sale support and updates. Vernee MIX 2 had only 1 OTA ROM update since release despite bugs being reported by users. From these, I can only conclude that Vernee doesn’t care about their users, its all about squeezing the maximum revenue from each model and moving on to the next model.
