Blackberry is now gearing up to announce its next smartphone with the QWERTY keyboard and successor to the Blackberry KeyOne. Dubbed the BlackBerry Key2, the QWERTY keyboard-enabled device, according to a fresh tweet from the BlackBerry Mobile Twitter account is expected to be unveiled at an event in NewYork on June 7th.
The Blackberry Key2 isn’t new to the rumor mill at all, we already know a couple of its specs as the many rumors, leaks, and certifications have revealed in recent months. The Blackberry Key2, only recently appeared on the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth SIG site for approval, where it was revealed that the device will come in three different variants with model number BBF100-6, BBF100-2, and BBF100-1, while the Bluetooth SIG suggests it will ship with Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box as well as supports Wi-Fi networks running on both the 2.4GHz and the 5GHz frequencies.

According to details available to us, the Blackberry Key2 will have will the same display with a slight design change with a physical QWERTY keyboard, but most other specs will get an upgrade.
It will come with a dual camera setup, paired with dual-LED flash – the first in any BlackBerry devices, while it retains the 4.5in 1620×1080 display with the retro keys below it and under the hood, you’ll find the Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor coupled with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.
We’re not yet aware of the price tag the device will carry, though the specs indicate it won’t be overly priced.
