OnePlus 6 cameras will likely be AI-powered, a feature brought to light since the Chinese phone maker took to Weibo to tease the AI capabilities of their upcoming flagship. This does not come as a surprise since AI-powered cameras are something every manufacturer is trying to implement.
The poster is minimalistic in design and focusses solely on the AI support that the OnePlus 6 will come with. Earlier today, the OnePlus flagship was reported to be listed on Amazon Germany which revealed colour variants, some specs, pricing and sale date of the phone. The phone will be available in two colour variants, Midnight Black and Mirror Black. The White variant was not listed and might be a limited edition variant. The starting price is pegged to be around ~$620 and can go upwards of $700 for the top end 8GB+256GB variant. There is also an Avengers Special Edition, the pricing for which has not been revealed yet.

The phone is all set to be unveiled on the 17th of May at 10 AM in China and will be up for sale starting 22nd May. The OnePlus 6 features all the gimmicks of the year; a notch on the display up top, dual camera setup on the back, and Ai powered cameras. It sports a 6.23-inch optic AMOLED display with a 19:9 aspect ratio and 2280 x 1080p resolution. It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset coupled with 6GB/8GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB/256GB of onboard storage. A 16MP+20MP camera setup with OIS and a 16MP snapper are said to adorn the back and front of the phone respectively. The OnePlus 6 will be up for sale starting May 21st for Amazon Prime members while the normal sale will start on the 22nd of May. Pre-orders have started from 13th May up till 16th May in India.

I’m still not sold on phones with a notch. So ugly and using a software fix to hide it isn’t enough, because you lose most of the notification area.
