OPPO’s current flagship is the R15, which comes in six color options including the hot red, star purple, snow white, dream mirror red, ceramic black, and dream purple. This morning, the company officially announced a new version of this phone named the OPPO R15 Nebula Special Edition. It will debut on May 19 at the Live For Real Music Festival (aka OPPO Red and Blue Music Festival). As the poster shows, the upcoming OPPO R15 Nebula Special Edition comes in a unique red and blue dual-color. The back of the fuselage is blue, while the front panel is red.
The original OPPO R15 was released on March 19. It is packed with a 6.28-inch Super-V Display full-screen that uses a 19:9 aspect ratio. The screen share reached 90%. In terms of configuration, it is equipped with MediaTek’s first AI processor Helio P60 (the Dream version sports a Snapdragon 660), 6GB of RAM, 128GB native storage, built-in 3450mAh capacity battery that supports VOOC flash charge technology and many more.
Gizchina News of the week
As for the photography capabilities, the OPPO R15 sports a 20MP camera on the front. It supports 3-HDR hardware real-time classification exposure technology, which greatly enhances the self-portraits. Moreover, it accurately collects 296 face feature points and thanks to the AI optimization provides great selfies. On the back, it carries a dual-camera using a 16MP (f/1.7 aperture) + 5MP (f/2.2 aperture) sensors combination. As you know, the main camera uses a Sony IMX519 sensor with a 1.22μm large pixel size and 1/2.6 inch sensor. Of course, it supports AI portrait mode.
We have been talking about the key features of the original OPPO R15 because the forthcoming OPPO R15 Nebula Special Edition differs by the color option only. That’s why its pricing doesn’t change (in comparison to the Dream Mirror variant), and the phone will be available for 3299 yuan.
