OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6 Avengers Edition launched in India


Following series of leaks and endless speculations, onePlus at an event yesterday in London finally unveiled the OnePlus to a Global audience. The device in the early hours of today landed in its homeland China, and now the company has launched the same device alongside the OnePlus 6 Avengers Edition in India.

The device is exclusive to Amazon.in as we reported earlier, and will be available for Prime users starting May 21st and for everyone from May 22nd. The Limited-edition Silk White and the OnePlus 6 Avengers Edition will be available from June 5th and from May 29th on Amazon.in. The device will be available on OnePlus’ own website as well.

The base OnePlus 6 with 6GB RAM + 64GB storage will retail for  Rs. 34,999/ $516, with the  8GB+128GB model in mirror black, the Midnight Black and the Limited-edition Silk White setting users back Rs. 39,999/ $590. The OnePlus 6 Avengers Edition, on the other hand, will go for Rs. 44,999/ $665.

The OnePlus 6 boasts of some notable upgrade over the previous model, including a new glass design at the back with company’s horizon line along with an iPhone X-like notch on the front. The OnePlus comes fitted with a notched 6.29-inch Optic AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and about 84% screen-to-body ratio. Powering the device is the flagship Snapdragon 845 chipset with up to 8GB of RAM and as much as 256GB of storage, but still lacks the microSD card slot for memory expansion.

Powered by a 3,300mAh with dash charge, the Oneplus 6 boots Android 8 Oreo (with Oxygen OS 5.1 on top) out of the box, but interestingly, OnepLus beforehand has announced the device will support the new Android P Beta from Google, giving you a sneak peek at some of the new features of the next Android OS.

The flagship OnepLus 6 comes with a dual-camera setup on the flip side, and that comprises a 20-megapixel and 16-megapixel Sony IMX519 sensors with OIS, EIS, and slow-motion video recording at 480fps, while a 16-megapixel sits inside the notch for selfies.

Also available in India is the OnePlus bullet wireless headphone which will retail for Rs 3,999.
