This is why I love the Chinese phone industry! Just when you finish one great story another story crops up to blow it away! In this case Oppo have announced a 32GB version of the 5-inch Find 5 (YEAH), however it will cost more and come with a similar spec as ZTE’s newly announced Nubia Z5!
Just minutes ago I wrote how I would prefer to save $80 and by the Oppo Find 5 with its 16GB memory over the costlier 32GB Nubia Z5, however Oppo’s announcement of a 32GB Find 5 at $570 changes all that!
Gizchina News of the week
When originally launched the Find 5 impressed us all with its powerful camera, quad-core CPU and 5-inch 1080 display for 2999 Yuan ($480 Chinese price) $499 U.S price, but now they have launched the 32GB model for $570 the ZTE Nubia Z5 is looking like a much better buy!
In addition to the larger memory for not much more, the Z5 also get’s a larger 3000mAh battery, and thinner 7.5mm body. Unfortunately the Nubia Z5 will only be officially available in China where as the Oppo Find 5 will go on sale in the United Kingdom, Spain, Australia, Germany, France, Belgium, Malaysia, Sweden, Singapore, Finland, Greece, Denmark, New Zealand, Norway, Japan and Hong Kong!
once those phones get in europe we must buy them.
The Nubia could be better for the price and some specs, but if you’re outside china oppo seems the way
why you Andi still saying zte nubia z5 have 3000mAh battery since i read in other source is 2300mAh,
and for international support oppo clearly better since they already make english oppo forum for find 5 and will sell it multiply country.
and the best reason is oppo said in 2013 they will come to my country indonesia,
According Nubia’s thickness (or thinness), which is 7.6 mm, it is extremely unlikely that battery capacity is 3000, check it out again, please.
I wish Oppo Find 5 makes the earliest penetrations into the SEA markets, more choices of smartphones beyond the samesong and iExtortU are pretty healthy for users. I definitely seek the BEST VALUE FOR MONEY from the smartphone makers, setting aside the marketing gimmicks and over & costly promotions! I’m an informed user seeking out the best bargain, happily give out my bucks for the most bangs… yet i ain’t a sheep fooled by the brand images 😀
Comes! Comes closer and faster to the South East Asia markets 🙂 Jia you Oppo!!!
Thanks Andi for your works, i do enjoy reading it and disseminate your site to my affiliates, many of whom just know the names of Samesong and iFruit.
