Xiaomi Mi 8’s Warm-Up Poster Hints at AI Voice Assistant

In a couple of days, at a Xiaomi conference held in Shenzhen for the first time, the company will unveil a number of new products including the much-awaited Xiaomi MI 8 and the Xiaomi Mi Band 3. As for the former one, Lei June said there are too many innovative technologies to be announced at the event, and they can’t talk about all of them at a time. As a result, we are getting warm-up posters for about a week. And every time a new poster comes, we learn something new about the Mi 8. Today is no exception.

Xiaomi MI 8

The Xiaomi Mi 8 poster comes with a message of ‘what an experience you can get when driving with ‘Little Love’?’ If you remember, the ‘Little Love’ is Xiaomi’s new AI voice assistant debuted on the Xiaomi Mi AI Mini Speaker a couple of months ago. Now, there is every reason to think this feature will come to the future Xiaomi flagships (and not only), which is a plus if taking into account almost all of its rivals come with something like that.

Gizchina News of the week

The Little Love AI assistant uses Orion’s voice recognition and TTS technology. The Orion Voice OS system, which is operated by Cheetah Mobile, can awaken tens of millions of times per day and supports deep-seated semantic understanding in the vertical domain, with an accuracy rate of 96%. In addition, Orion Star Sky makes the voice sound warmer and more pleasant by optimizing the emotional chat system.

Thanks to the Little Love voice assistant, it becomes easier to use any device supporting this system. Users can make translations, search for an info, launch apps, and control smart home appliances. All can be done via a single sentence, allowing complex operations to become a matter of words.

Apart from this, the previous warm-up posters revealed the Xiaomi Mi 8 will come with a Snapdragon 845 chip, 3D Face Recognition, Quick Charge 4.0+ support, and strong camera features that will outrun all of its rivals at DxOMark.
