Vivo NEX and NEX S detailed on official website ahead of launch

While nothing is yet officially official, it is almost now certain that Vivo would be releasing three variants of the Vio NEX smartphone come June 12. While rumours suggest the Vivo NEX, Vivo NEX A and Vivo NEX S are the three possible variants, Vivo itself has today now confirmed two variants of the upcoming phone – the Vivo NEX and Vivo NEX S, as both devices have now popped up ON Vivo official website with photos, major specs with the exception of exception of their prices and availability.
Adding juice to previous leaks, images available on the brand official site reveals that only the Vivo NEX S will feature the in-display fingerprint scanner, while the base NEX will make do with a rear fingerprint scanner. Both devices, however, are likely to feature an ultrasonic technology for the proximity sensor and piezoelectric ceramic acoustic system instead of a standard earpiece similar to the Mi MIX.
Cementing earlier reports, the NEX s is the most top-end of the duo, and much like the base Vivo NEX, it flaunts a 6.59-inch Full HD+ display without a notch, but there is a small bezel below the display and will house the 845 with 8GB of RAM under its hood. The Vivo NEX will be fueled by the Octa-Core Snapdragon 710 SoC coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage.
Other specs are pretty the same, and that includes an 8-megapixel pop-up selfie camera, a 12-megapixel + 5-megapixel dual rear camera setup with AI features, 4000mAh battery and they both, of course, will boot the latest Android 8.1 (Oreo) with  Funtouch OS 4.0 out of the box.

The website also reveals that the two smartphones will come only in Red colour option, but there are indications we might get other range of colours. Pricing and possible roll-out details will be made known at the unveiling.

That chin is photoshopped. It is bigger IRL. Still, it will probably be the best STB ration at 92%. The price tag of $1100 is ridiculous for a Chinese phone with no support or warranty. The cheaper one at $700 is different with the camera at the bottom like the Mix with 87% STB ratio. If they can make the one with pop up camera with a P60/710 for $400-500 they would own the mobile phone market.
