Vivo Y81

If you do not have the budget to take on the newly unveiled VIVO NEX, Vivo has a number of smartphones that could well suit your pocket. Just about a month after it released the VIVO Y83 which is the first ever device to use the recently announced MediaTek Helio P22 SoC with its AI features, the firm a few hours ago released yet another member of the Y series of vivo phones – the VIVO Y81 in Taiwan.

Today, the company has expanded the availability of the Y81 outside of the Taiwanese market. The company has announced that the Vivo Y81 is now available in Vietnam, and notably, the new entrant to the Vietnam market is the same device as the one launched in Taiwan and even carry a similar price tag. Priced at 4.990.000 ₫ ($220), the Vivo Y81 is available to buy in black color only in Vietnam via FPTSHOP  starting from today with free Nationwide delivery.

The Vivo Y81, much like some latest offerings from other OEMs, features the irregular screen notch that was popularised with the launch of the iPhone X. It flaunts a 6.2-inch display with 720p or HD+ resolutions and an aspect ratio of 19:9. Under its hood is the same chipset that debuted with the VIVO Y83 a while ago – the Helio P22 chip that is clocked at 2.0GHz coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

As for optics, the Vivo Y81 comes with a rear 13MP lens with a f/2.2 aperture and the front has a single 5MP shooter with f/2.2 aperture. It also has face unlock and those AI features which is probably its major selling points. Lights of the Vivo Y81 are kept on by a 3,260mAh cell.
