Oneplus 6 Amber Red

We knew it was coming, and while we expected it to be named Lava Red, Oneplus has chosen to go with the Amber Red moniker. So if you have been unwilling to get the flagship Oneplus 6 probably because of non-availability of some enticing color options, now is the time to grab a unit of the device.

Just a few days ago, Oneplus officially released a teaser that gave us the impression it will release a new paint job for the OnePlus 6, and now, it has just released the OnePlus 6 Amber Red in China. Priced at 3,599 Yuan ($542), the new OnePlus 6 Amber Red color option is immediately available for pre-order via the Oneplus official website and on JD.com, while sales will begin officially on July 9 at 00:00 AM (local time). Over in India, the device will be available from July 16th through Amazon.in and OnePlus online store priced at Rs. 39,999.

Gizchina News of the week

The Oneplus 6 Amber Red color arrival follows the release of the upgraded Oneplus 6 midnight black with more storage space late last month. The addition of the oneplus 6 Amber Red bumps up the available color options from 3 to 4 including the silk white, the midnight black, and the Mirror black.

As expected, the new Amber Red color option gets the same specs as the Silky white variant including the 8 GB of RAM and an internal storage of 128 GB. (Detailed Oneplus 6 specs here).

Oneplus about a few days back, made a pronouncement that would endear users to its flagship devices the more. The company announced that much like some other good Android OEMs, and in line with Google’s policy for the Pixel devices, it would henceforth issue not less than two of Android Software update and security patches to it flagship devices after its launch.
