The Oppo A3s was the target of the rumour mill ahead of its launch and it at least made us aware that the handset would be a toned down version of the Oppo A3. Well, the launch happened today and the tips were correct. The Oppo A3s comes with a couple of firsts including the first notch phone under Rs 11,000 ($160) in India as well as the first phone with a dedicated depth sensor from Oppo.
The handset looks exactly like the Oppo A5 that went official a few days ago and also resembles the spec-sheet, but in the RAM an storage area. The A3s has a 6.2-inch HD+ display with a notch and an 88.8 percent screen-to-body ratio. The Oppo A3s is endowed with the Snapdragon 450 underneath the display, similar to the Redmi 5, and sports somewhat low RAM and storage. It comes in only 2GB + 16GB combo which does seem very inferior compared to India’s budget segment standards.
