Xiaomi Mi Max 3

After months of leaks and teasers, Xiaomi has today unveiled the Mi Max 3, the third in its large screen series of smartphones. The Mi Max 3 as the name suggests, does things big, from an overly large display to a monstrous battery and up to 6GB of RAM.

The device packs a unibody metal design fitted with a large 6.9″ FHD+ display, an 18:9 aspect ratio, slim side bezels, without the trendy notch at the front, a circular rear fingerprint sensor, as well as a dual rear camera setup. Under the good, the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 utilizes a  Snapdragon 636 SoC with Adreno 509 GPU, 4GB of RAM and boots Android 8.1 (Oreo) with MIUI  out of the box. Its available in two storage and RAM variants: 4GB RAM+64GB storage variant and the 6GB RAM +128GB storage variants.

A major highlight of the device is its 5500mAh battery with an undisclosed rating and supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging as well as parallel charging. Xiami claimed the Max 2 boasts of 2 days of battery life from a single charge, so the Mi Max 3 should offer something close, but we shouldn’t expect more due to the increased screen size. However, with the support for Qualcomm Quick charge, the battery should top up faster.

The 1100 RMB Mi Pad 4 has SD 660 and this 1700 RMB Max3 has SD 636. There is not a huge performance difference between the 2 SoC. But they should at least priced it a bit lower. In my opinion huge phones like this must have better SoC. Then it would be a great gaming device.
